1. Field Data Acquisition

Field data acquisition is the beginning of a geomorphic change detection study and being so represents the first place where uncertainty can be introduced into a study. Understanding the concepts and mathematics behind MBES data collection can lead to the reduction of uncertainty in surveying. This section presents the basics of MBES data collection and presents applications of the how to reduce uncertainty of surveyed points by understanding/solving the mathematical equations guiding MBES data collection.
